CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
ICWES-11 will be the 11th of the series of world meeting of women engineers and scientists. The objectives of the meeting will be:
To provide an excellent oppotunity for women engineers and scientists to share their knowledge with the international community.
To extend international co-operation by providing an opportunity for the exchange of experinece and ideas to protect the Earth on an international basis.
To construct a network between women engineers and scientists for the improvement of a social status.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The Conference is open to all engineers and scientists, to those interested in the program subjects, and to those interested in promoting the achievements of women.

LANGUAGE
The official conference language will be English.

VENUE
The conference will be held at "Makuhari Messe" (Japan Convention Center) in Chiba, a newly developed high-tech town. The location is 30km east of Tokyo Station and 40km west of Tokyo International Airport (Narita) 30mins. by train from both side.

"Makuhari Messe" is a full-scal convention facility that answer the ever-increasing convention needs for 21st centry, and faces to Tokyo Bay adjoining a Japanese Garden, hotels, restaurants, large exhibition halls, museums, shopping malls and so on.

ACCOMMODATION

Various types of hotels will be available nearby. Details and booking forms will be sent out with the Conference registration material in June, 1998.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Large exhibition halls within the same convention complexs will show technological exhibitions. Many Japanese traditional sightseeing spots are also within easy reach. Tours will be conducted during and after the Conference.
